1) I would like to stay ad Dopa Hostel. How can I book?
Just insert the period of your staying and the number of people into the yellow search baron top of the website and a new window will open. Once there, you will be shown availability and rates of the hostel and you’ll be able to book filling up the booking form with your credit card details (100% guaranted by Paypal).

2) How much do I have to pay when I book a bed or a room?
When you confirm your reservation through our booking engine, only 2% of the total amount will be charged as a guarantee. The rest will be paid directly at the hostel during check-in and it should be paid by debit card, credit card or cash.
3) If I decide to cancel a reservation, what happens?
Is it possible to delete a reservation anytime till 48 hours before arrival, just write to us at info@dopahostel.com without paying any fee except the 2% already paid when reserved (not refundable). If you decide before 48 hours or less before check-in you have to pay one night as a fee.
4) How much is a room?
Depend of the type of room and the season.
AÂ single bed in a dorm usually start from 22 euro breakfast included and reach a maximum price of 30 euro breakfast included. A private room start from 45 euro breakfast included to a maximum price of 70 euro breakfast included. In really high season the price may rise up drastically.
Most of services like bed linen, print & copy, wi-fi, luggage storage, PC use, coffee and tea, lockers and use of the kitchen are included and free.
5) Do the hostel has private parking?
Actually no, but you can park your car on via Irnerio, just in the front of the hostel, or under Piazza XIII agosto. The price is 2,50 euro/hour from 8:00 to 20:00 from monday to saturday. It’s free from 20:00 to 8:00 and on Sunday.
Remember to pay the toll once you have parked the car and don’t get into the center from the wrong street if you don’t want to get a fee! The right and free access (no CCV) is from Porta San Donato.
There are also car parking 5 minutes walk distance which cost less (8 euro for the full day). You can buy the daily park ticket at the reception or at the automatic machines just closeby the parkings.
6) Do you rent bikes?
Of course we do, and you can rent it for a small amount just for a couple of hours, or even for a full day.
Be careful when you are driving and always enchain the bike on a bike carrier or a pole.
7) Can i wash my clothes in the hostel?
Yes, you can wash your clothes and your towels in the hostel for a cheap price. Just ask at the desk!
8) Where is Dopa Hostel located?
Dopa Hostel it’s the only downtown hostel of Bologna and is located in its heart, into the University area, just 5 minutes walking distance from main attraction like Piazza Maggiore square, Archiginnasio, Torre degli Asinelli, MamBo, Palazzo Fava, Palazzo Pepoli, Palazzo Belloni and Palazzo Albergati.
And our hostel it’s even 10 minutes walking distance from Stazione Centrale, the Bologna’s train station, and it’s just 5 minutes distance from Stazione Autolinee, Bologna’s bus station.
If you arrive with plane just take an “Aerobus” to Stazione Centrale and once there just walk along Via Indipendenza till the crosswalk of Via Irnerio. Turn left on Via Irnerio and going on for 500 meters. You’ll find Dopa Hostel on the right side of the street at number 41 (it’s a yellow building facing the famous building “Casa Editrice Zanichelli).
If want to reach the hostel with bus from Bologna Centrale train station, just cross the square in front of the station, go to the opposite side of the large road and catch the bus number 36 (Ospedale Bellaria direction) or even number 37 (Bombicci direction). In both case you have to get off the bus at the 3rd stop.
If you take a Taxi, just say to the driver to bring you at “Dopa Hostel Via Irnerio 41 Bologna” or “Ostello Dopa Via Irnerio 41 Bologna” (Ostello is the italian translation of Hostel).
9) Do you have an internet connection into the hostel?
We have free high speed wi-fi connection available, for free, in any area of the hostel. And we even offer for free 2 PC to our guests with open office and internet connection.
10) When can i check-in and check-out?
You can check in from 12:00 o’clock in the morning and you have to check out before 10:00 o’clock in the morning.
Reception it’s open from 08:00 to 23:00, but we can check-in and out at different time if agreed before.
11) Breakfast is included?
Yes, a rich and fresh breakfast is included and it’s served from 8:00 to 10.00 every morning.
Breakfast include milk, yogurt, juice, 9 kind of tea and infusion, coffè, water, butter, 2 type of jam, nutella, honey, buiscuits, tast bread, fresh bread, fette biscottate, fresh fruit, and randomly a different kind of salty food, like ham, cheese or eggs.
